On 30 January 2019 SSHoP hosted it’s Annual General Meeting at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. We would like to thank those of you that were able to come for contributing to a productive discussion, and positive reflection on the society’s achievements in 2019.
Chair, Alex Hamilton, gave a presentation in which he described the successes of 2019; The Annan Lecture and Annual Photographer’s Lecture, the brilliant Journal Launches and the acquisition of a space at 525 Ferry Road to be the home of Studies in Photography. The AGM was also an opportunity to talk about what could happen in 2020! The Society has already begun organising lectures and a series of exhibitions to hang at Gallery 525, as well as working on the two new journals of Studies in Photography. The aim is see the perks of membership increasing for all of you!
On 12 February there is an open meeting, to which all members are welcome, to help select the committee for this year. A number of members are planning to step down from their positions, so if you are interested in joining the committee or contributing to the discussion please join us at 525 Ferry Road at 5:30pm. Thank you.
