Developing the Picture: Scotland’s Photography Collections

Scotland has a long and dynamic relationship with photography and as a result has a wealth of photography collections spread right across the country. These collections are cared for by many different organisations – from national institutions to local libraries. In this talk Louise Pearson will explore the highlights of some of these collections and reflect on how we can promote Scotland’s extraordinary photography collections both within Scotland and to the rest of the world.

Louise Pearson is Curator (Photography) at the National Galleries of Scotland and a member of the SSHoP committee.
